CLEANSING & RENEWAL:
A New Year's Day Workshop

Welcome in the New Year by re-establishing your commitment to opening your heart, calming your mind, nourishing your body and renewing your spirit! Attend this invigorating yoga class to help you cleanse your mind and reinstate your focus; shed your attachments and reawaken your visions; purify your body and reconnect with your spirit. This workshop will begin with a guided meditation to help you focus on your intentions for the New Year, followed by some gentle flow sequences to warm up your body, a series of active sun salutations to circulate blood and lymph, a flow of balance poses to help restore focus, restorative and/or yin poses to help you surrender open, and deep relaxation to renew the nervous system. There will be time for reflection and journaling to help you capture your insights at the end of the workshop. Beginners are welcome and encouraged.

Jackie Long has been teaching yoga and meditation in the Bay Area since 2001, and has been offering workshops and retreats internationally since 2004. In 1999, she lived in a Buddhist Monastery in Thailand for a few months, practicing Insight Meditation with her teachers, senior monks, Ajahn Nayanarato and Tan Ajahn Gavesako. Her teachers also include Swami Vimalananda (Integral Yoga), Sarah Powers (Insight Yoga) and Judith Lasater (Restorative Yoga). With a Neuropsychology degree from Princeton University and a Counseling Psychology degree from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, Jackie bridges East-West wisdom seamlessly in each of her classes.
