Getting To Maya Tulum

The most affordable flights to Mexico as of 1/17/07 are on American and can be purchased through Travelocity or Orbitz. The flights From SFO (San Francisco) to CUN (Cancun, Mexico) are currently $393 ($510 total, including tax). Our retreat begins on Saturday, June 23rd with dinner at 6:30 pm and an opening ceremony following dinner from 8 to 9 pm. Our retreat will close on Saturday morning, June 30th, with breakfast at 8 am.

Depending on travel plans, you can choose to arrive on Friday, June 22nd to ensure that you are here for the opening ceremony, or you can arrive late on Saturday night (but you would miss the opening ceremony). We will accommodate latecomers by allowing time on Sunday morning to introduce travelers who could not take Friday off from work.

Fly into Cancun International Airport. Jackie can help you secure transportation from the airport to the resort. She will try to group you into as few cars/vans as possible to help reduce cost of transfers. The resort will send a car that is $95 each way and holds 3 people or a van that is $115 each way and holds 7 people.

If you choose to make use of this service, please follow these directions:
Go through the baggage claim area and get your luggage, from there proceed to Customs where your bags may be checked, once through Customs you will exit the airport building. Look for our driver who will be holding a sign saying "Maya Tulum Resort".

Alternatively, you can also take a taxi from the airport that runs about $90 each way or you can take a local bus that runs $7 each way and the cab from the airport to the bus terminal will run $30 (take a cab or shuttle to the downtown Cancun bus terminal, then take a bus to Pueblo De Tulum, then take a cab to Maya Tulum Resort).

Driving directions to Maya Tulum:
Take 307 SOUTH when leaving the airport. Drive for approximately 81 miles. You will come to a stoplight; you will see a sign for COBA and Chichen Itza to the right. There is also a Super San Francisco (large grocery store) on the right. Turn left at this light. If you get to the town of Tulum you have gone too far. Go 1.5 miles until you come to a T-intersection with a police hut on the left. Turn right and go straight until the paved road ends, Maya Tulum is the first place on the left after the police check point.
